One persistent theme of modern yowie reports is the belief that yowies create territorial markers or signal their presence by snapping off tree limbs, creating unusual shapes with branches, ripping shrubs from the ground or shredding bark from trees.

While there is little clear evidence directly linking yowies with these occurrences, I have found it intriguing just how many times they have been present in areas where Tony and I have been investigating.

On this page are photos taken in mid-August 2008 in the swamp behind Neil Frost’s house (see our long section on Neil’s experiences in the book), as well as a few others from our investigations of a case in Qld in 2007.

Is this all really yowie related, or are we only seeing a natural phenomenon?
